All I Ask in This Divorce Is $6.80
Chapter 1
Two completely different divorce demands sat in front of the judge:
Mine: I wanted Wyatt Callahan to pay me back $6.8—the money I owed for pasta.
Wyatt's: He wanted me to return the fifteen billion dollars I'd supposedly blown through during our marriage.
His expense report had everything—designer clothes, luxury bags, even renting out entire private islands.
The way he looked at me—just total disappointment.
All those years of hurt came pouring out.
I put my beat-up ledger where I tracked every single cent on the table, along with this stack of overdue bills and my one bank card.
"I've got $1.2 in my account. I had to BORROW money just to buy pasta."
"If you can prove I spent that fifteen billion, then please—call the cops and have them take me away."
Dead silence in that courtroom.
Then his phone on the table lit up:
"Sir, your wife says she's tired of the yacht's color. She wants five hundred million right now for a new one, or she's getting rid of the baby."
...
"Sienna, how long are you gonna keep this up?"
Wyatt grabbed his phone, knuckles white, eyes cutting right through me.
"One second you're playing poor with your $1.2 in front of the judge, next second you're using our baby to squeeze me for half a billion?"
Everyone in that courtroom went dead quiet.
The Callahan family was sitting there staring at me like I was the worst person alive.
The judge knocked her gavel. "Order."
I just stared at that message on his phone. Felt like my blood was running backward.
"I'm NOT pregnant. And I NEVER asked for any yacht."
I swallowed hard, digging my nails into my beat-up hands.
Wyatt laughed coldly. He shoved the phone right in my face.
"No? Mira sent me this message from you."
"Who else would order a yacht as Mrs. Callahan?"
"Sienna, I put millions in your account every month. You buy islands, you buy antiques—have I ever told you NO?"
"Now you show up here in thrift store clothes, making me look like some cheapskate over six bucks?"
"You trying to embarrass me in front of everyone, huh?"
Every word hurt.
I looked up at this guy I'd been married to for three years.
His suit probably cost more than most people make in a year.
That watch on his wrist? Millions.
My jacket? I brought it from home three years ago. It's so faded you can barely tell what color it used to be.
"Wyatt, in three years, have you ever given me actual cash?"
"Have I ever been able to use ANY of your credit cards?"
Wyatt just looked disgusted.
"Sienna, don't be greedy."
"You said the cards had limits, so Mira set up that expense account for you."
"Every time you needed money, did I ever say no?"
"I'm out there working my ass off every day while you're playing games, and you turned my trust into your personal piggy bank!"
I actually laughed—while crying.
"Expense account?"
"My mom was dying in the hospital. I literally got on my knees and begged you for five thousand dollars. What did you tell me?"
Wyatt looked at me like I'd just said the dumbest thing ever.
"Wait—your mom in the hospital? She's been at that fancy place in Switzerland forever."
"Last month you had Mira send eight million to upgrade her doctors!"
"Sienna, you've been lying so much you actually believe yourself now."
The judge flipped through all those papers, then looked at me weird.
"Ms. Rhodes, the plaintiff's got really detailed records here. Every receipt has your signature."
"You're saying he cut you off, but right now there's no proof of that."
I was shaking, pointing at that huge stack of papers.
"That's NOT my handwriting!"
"Your Honor, I couldn't even pay my heat."
"We had no power, no water for three months. I was living off pasta my neighbors gave me!"
"If I had fifteen billion dollars, why would I be here fighting over SIX bucks?"
Wyatt slammed those papers down. They went flying everywhere.
"ENOUGH, Sienna!"
"You fucking done yet?"
"You used your family to force me to marry you. Fine. I dealt with it."
"But I never thought you'd be this greedy!"
"We're in court now, so let's go through everything. I wanna see how long you can keep lying!"
Chapter 2
"Thirty-minute recess. Both sides verify your documents."
The judge's gavel came down hard.
Wyatt walked over, looking down at me.
"Sienna, come with me."
"Mira already sent over all the originals. Let's see how much longer you can keep this up."
I stood up.
Felt dizzy—I haven't been eating enough.
Wyatt reached out like he was gonna catch me, then pulled his hand back real fast, face going cold.
"Save it. The judge isn't gonna let you off just because you pretend to faint."
The door opened.
Mira walked in wearing this Chanel cream suit and heels, carrying these heavy boxes of files.
She had these crazy expensive pearls in her ears.
Her makeup was perfect.
When she saw me, she looked panicked for a second—then switched to this concerned look.
"Mr. Callahan, don't get too upset. Sienna probably just got confused."
"Sienna, just apologize, okay?"
"Mr. Callahan cares about you. Just give back the jewelry and properties and he won't press charges."
I stared at her innocent act, feeling sick.
"Mira, you're saying I submitted all those expenses?"
Mira bit her lip, looking all hurt, pulling out this stack of receipts.
"Sienna, every one came from texts you sent me. Through Mr. Callahan's special account."
"Last month you said you wanted that estate in the suburbs—sixty million cash. I told you to talk to Mr. Callahan first."
"You said he's never home anyway, and this was payback for wasting your life on him."
Hearing this total bullshit made me so angry I was shaking.
"WHEN did I ever text you that? Show me these messages."
"Sienna, you always deleted them right after. Or used those apps where messages disappear."
Mira looked down, eyes getting red.
"I'm just an assistant. Mr. Callahan told me anything YOU wanted, I had to approve right away."
"How could I say no to you?"
Watching her play victim made Wyatt even colder.
"Sienna, you hear that?"
"I gave you everything, and you used it to bully my staff and steal from my company??"
I grabbed those receipts from Mira.
Right there in the signature line: "Sienna Rhodes."
Pretty handwriting. Even copied the way I connect my letters.
But that's not MY signature.
"I didn't sign these!"
I threw the papers on the table, staring at Wyatt.
"Wyatt, remember where you were the day before my birthday last month?"
Wyatt frowned.
"I remember that night—pouring rain."
"The company was rushing through that international merger, so I stayed at headquarters working on it all night."
I laughed, but I was crying.
"Yeah, pouring rain."
"Middle of the night, the roof suddenly started leaking. The hole got bigger fast—water just coming down like crazy."
"I called you TWENTY-SEVEN times. Mira answered."
"She said you were sleeping, that I was being annoying, then she blocked me."
"I climbed out onto the roof in the rain—from the third-floor attic—to replace the tiles. Then spent all night scooping water out bit by bit until morning."
"Next day I had such a bad fever it turned into pneumonia."
"Had thirty bucks on me. Couldn't even go to the hospital—just bought some medicine at the pharmacy."
"But what does this receipt say?"
"That SAME night, it says I was in Paris spending three million dollars on designer dresses."
Chapter 3
Wyatt's eyes changed for a second.
He turned to look at Mira.
Mira's face went white, but then tears filled her eyes real quick.
"Sienna, how can you just lie like this?"
"You called me that day saying the dress had to be shipped immediately or Mr. Callahan would be sorry."
"I didn't want to mess up his big deal, so I even paid for part of the shipping myself."
"Mr. Callahan, I still have the emails with the Paris store!"
Mira pulled out her tablet, showing all these emails.
The header said Exclusive for Mrs. Wyatt Callahan, shipping address was the Callahan estate.
Any doubt in Wyatt's eyes just disappeared.
"Sienna, it's RIGHT THERE. What else you gonna make up?"
"You say there was a leak and you had a fever—then why didn't anyone from the estate ever tell me?"
I looked at how much he hated me right then. Felt like someone hit me with a hammer.
"The estate manager? That's Mira's uncle!"
"EVERYONE working there does whatever SHE tells them!"
"Wyatt, you think you took care of me. Really you locked me in hell!"
Slam!
Wyatt hit the table so hard the cup tipped over.
"Mira's worked for me seven years. She's been nothing but loyal!"
"Why do you have to keep going after her like this?"
"Sienna, you're fucking insane."
Mira handed Wyatt a tissue, voice all shaky.
"Mr. Callahan, don't get upset. Your injury might act up."
"If Sienna won't admit it, we can get a forensic audit."
"Just—if this goes criminal, she embezzled so much she could get life in prison."
"Sienna... just give the money back. Why make this so ugly?"
She sounded like she was helping me, but really she was nailing my coffin shut.
Fifteen billion dollars.
If they make that stick, I'm done.
I backed up until I hit the wall, staring at both of them.
"Fine. Let's investigate."
"Pull EVERY bank record. Track EVERY single dollar."
"If I touched ONE CENT of that fifteen billion, I'll spend the rest of my life in prison!"
Wyatt's eyes went cold as ice.
"You think I won't?"
"Mira, call legal. Add criminal charges."
"Asset transfer, embezzlement—everything."
Mira's eyes lit up for a second.
"Right away, Mr. Callahan."
"But about the baby—should we take Sienna to the hospital first?"
She brought up that text again, all casual.
Wyatt looked even madder.
"Baby? Like she could be pregnant with MY kid?"
"We've been married three years. You know damn well how many times I touched you. How could you be pregnant?"
"Sienna, you'd lie about THIS just for money? How freaking shameless can you go?!"
Every word felt like poison.
I wiped my face.
Right then, something in me just broke.
I was done.
"Wyatt, remember everything you just said."
"Hope you still feel this confident when the truth comes out."
