My Hospital, My Rules: The Billionaire Pregnant Wife Actually Owns Everything At eight months pregnant, I went alone to the Skyline private hospital I owned for my prenatal check-up. My number was called—and suddenly, a woman shoved me aside. "Out of my way, mutt! How dare you cut MY line?!" I pulled out my appointment slip, trying to explain, only to be slapped—hard, again and again. "Do you know who you’re messing with? This is Mrs. Kingsley—wife of New York’s richest man! You, a nobody, actually have the nerve to block her?" Even the doctor stood by, sneering at me. "This whole hospital belongs to the Kingsleys. If Mrs. Kingsley wanted, she could crush you like a bug." My fists clenched tight. If I wasn't mistaken, New York's current richest man was my husband—the one who'd married into MY fortune. Before I could even call to confront Adrian Kingsley, the woman dialed first. "Babe, some shameless bitch is trying to cut me and the baby—come DEAL WITH HER!" Chapter 1

At eight months pregnant, I went alone to the private hospital I owned for my prenatal check-up.

My number was called—and suddenly, a woman shoved me aside.

"Out of my way, mutt! How dare you cut MY line?!"

I pulled out my appointment slip, trying to explain, only to be slapped—hard, again and again.

"Do you know who you’re messing with? This is Mrs. Kingsley—wife of New York’s richest man! You, a nobody, actually have the nerve to block her?"

Even the doctor stood by, sneering at me.

"This whole hospital belongs to the Kingsleys. If Mrs. Kingsley wanted, she could crush you like a bug."

My fists clenched tight.

If I wasn't mistaken, New York's current richest man was my husband—the one who'd married into MY fortune.

Before I could even call to confront Adrian Kingsley, the woman dialed first.

"Babe, some shameless bitch is trying to cut me and the baby—come DEAL WITH HER!"

...

"Who the hell dares to cross my wife—got a death wish? Babe, wait for me—I'm on my way."

Adrian's cold voice came through the phone, and my heart instantly sank.

Originally, I’d come for a checkup and quietly inspect the hospital.

I never expected to caught Adrian's affair instead.

The woman ended the call and turned to me with a patronizing smirk.

"In New York, no one dares cut in front of me. Apologize RIGHT FUCKING NOW—or I’ll make you disappear."

The doctor, who should've been treating patients, stood behind her with total disgust.

"Do yourself a favor—apologize to Ms. Clara. Everyone knows she’s Adrian’s golden girl. Cross her and you're toast."

I looked this woman up and down with cold eyes.

Slight belly bump—maybe four or five months along.

The limited edition Hermès bag, the massive diamond necklace around her neck.

Everything looked familiar.

No wonder things had been disappearing from my walk-in closet lately.

I’d suspected a thief.

Turns out it was a traitor in my house.

Without hesitation, I texted my assistant Theo.

"Freeze all of Adrian’s cards immediately. Revoke his VP position."

The second I hit send, Clara lunged forward and snatched my phone, smashing it on the floor.

"I'm talking to you! Are you deaf? I said APOLOGIZE!"

I stared at my shattered phone, my expression darkening.

"And what if I don't?"

SMACK.

A sharp slap cut my words off—hot pain flared across my cheek.

"It's an order! Not a request."

"Pregnant and alone at the hospital—your husband must be dead, huh? You cut me? Wait till my husband shows — that’s your last day!"

I held my swollen cheek, my eyes turning ice-cold.

"When your husband shows up, he's gonna find out whose end it really is."

Clara's face twisted with rage. Then she lunged again, yanking my hair viciously.

"Still talking back?"

"Mrs. Kingsley, don't waste time on trash like this. Just have security throw her out. Blacklist her from every Skyline hospital."

The young doctor kissed up to Clara, massaging her shoulders with puppy-dog eyes.

Sharp pain shot through my scalp, but I gritted my teeth and forced my eyes onto the doctor's name tag.

"You’ll regret it! I’m taking this straight to your director—you’ve got no right to wear this uniform."

After all, I was the one who promoted the hospital’s director.

The young doctor sneered and slapped me again.

"You? See our director? Not a chance — you don’t even belong here."

Just as I was about to defend, a low voice cut through from behind.

"What's going on here?"

The young doctor lit up at the interruption, smirking at me mockingly.

"Our director's here! You're screwed! Starting tomorrow, no hospital in New York will treat you. When you’re due, good luck delivering that baby by YOURSELF!"

Chapter 2

Clara finally let go of me with disgust.

I turned around, only to see a complete stranger's face.

Her name tag clearly read: Hospital Director.

"Sis, you should've told me you were coming! I’d have gotten you VIP. No need to queue with trash—you’d reek of their cheapness."

They stood there, patting each other on the back, all intimate and casual.

That's when it hit me—Adrian had replaced the hospital director with Clara's sister behind my back.

Clara shot me a vicious look.

"This bitch not only cut in front of me, but dared to mouth off. I was just about to teach her a lesson!"

The director swept over me, open contempt written on her face.

"What slum did this trash crawl out of? Dressed like a beggar — and thinks she can get prenatal checkup here? Don't you know we're VIP ONLY?"

I looked down at my Italian designer maternity wear—radiation-proof couture, worth over a million.

Yet they thought I looked homeless.

I stared coldly at the director.

"Tomorrow, this hospital will be shut down—because of YOU."

I'd built this hospital to provide the best treatment for all patients.

But now? They were ranking patients by class, humiliating pregnant women in public.

The director paused, then shot me a red‑hot glare, seething with anger and embarrassment.

"Who the hell are you? Mrs. Kingsley hasn't even said anything, who gave you permission to talk here??"

Clara's face darkened. She snarled at security.

"Pin her down. I'm gonna teach this bitch some manners—right fucking now."

I kept my face steady.

"Touch me! I swear, if anything happens to me today, every single one of you is DEAD."

Clara froze for a moment—then slammed her foot straight into my gut.

"You messed with ME first. I'm not done with you, and you're already talking back? Bitch, please!"

WHAM.

I slammed into the wall. Pain tore through me, sharp and immediate.

I clutched my stomach, cold sweat beading on my forehead.

"My stomach—it hurts so bad. Get me to the ER, now."

Clara sneered, pure venom in her eyes.

"Spare me the drama. One little kick and you're already trying to play victim?"

I gritted my teeth, staring at her with murderous eyes.

"Do you have any idea who I am? If anything happens to my baby, you'll be the first PAY!"

Clara's face darkened. She stepped on my belly, grinding her heel down hard.

"I don't give a damn who you are. Forget about your unborn brat—even if you died right here, my husband would cover it all up for me."

The pain was crushing. But I locked eyes with her, ice in my voice.

"I'm the Selena Sterling. CEO of Skyline Group!"

Chapter 3

Maybe it was my killer stare. Maybe my power was suffocating them.

Everyone froze.

Then they all burst into hysterical laughter.

"This bitch is INSANE! Why not claim you're the damn President!"

"She shouldn't be seeing an OB-GYN—she needs a psychiatrist! If she's the CEO of Skyline Group, then I'm Bill Gates."

Clara looked down at me with contempt.

"You pathetic whore. All of New York knows MY HUSBAND runs Skyline Group. Now, you claiming to be the CEO?! What, you think he's dead?"

Just thinking about Adrian's fake-ass face made me snort coldly.

"I wish he was."

The moment those words left my mouth, Clara's face twisted with rage as she kicked viciously at my stomach.

"You little whore! How dare you curse my husband! You must have a death wish."

"You and your bastard baby die FIRST!"

Then came a loud *thud*.

My belly contracted violently, followed by a warm gush of fluid between my legs.

I went dead white, staring at the flood between my legs. Then struggling to look up at the doctor nearby.

"My water broke. Get me to the ER, now."

Clara slapped me hard across the face.

"Water broke my ass! You just pissed yourself from fear!"

The doctor chimed in smugly.

"Exactly. You're only eight months along—waters don't break this early. You think we're idiots who'll fall for this crap?"

I bit down hard on my lip, glaring at all of them.

"You're a disgrace to those white coats. Any real doctor could tell whether my water broke just by looking."

The crowd watching this mess started murmuring among themselves.

"She doesn't look like she’s faking it! Maybe her water really did break?"

"I only came to this hospital because I heard they had the top equipment and resources. Now I'm having second thoughts."

The director shot them a withering look.

"We're professionals. You think wecan't tell if her water actually broke? She's just a scammer trying to con our Mrs. Kingsley out of money."

Hearing the director say that, people seemed reassured.

"DISGUSTING. Faking labor with piss!"

"She's wasting medical resources. Bet she came here on purpose for baby money! Total con artist."

I clutched my stomach tightly, begging the crowd desperately.

"Please, someone call an ER doctor. I'm about to give birth."

A few pregnant women looked torn, seeing me in obvious pain.

But Clara's voice cut like glass, scanned the crowd menacingly.

"Anyone who helps her today is crossing me and Skyline Group."

Everyone backed away, not wanting to get involved with Clara's threats.

The director had security clear the entire hallway.

"I've cancelled all the OB-GYN appointments for today, and I've shut off the hallway cameras too. You can do whatever you want to teach this little bitch a lesson."

Clara smirked at me triumphantly.

"You little whore, you better apologize NOW. Otherwise, when my husband gets here, you’re finished."

Just as she finished speaking, suddenly—THUNDERING footsteps.

"Let’s see who’s finished today."
